It's not quite a marathon, 25 miles. I did it this year without the rucksacks

It was to be an experiment to see how I got on with a marathon like distance with no specific marathon training, in fact I have not a run of more than 10 miles since the Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2005
Bob and I did this together, and I am pleased to say that without the rucksack I did it faster than 2005.
This may have been something to do with the fact that the ground was nice and frozen, it had been cold for several days and it was clear and sunny on the day. There was a slight breeze but in a couple of hollows it was actually quite warm out of the wind.
